new blog idea!
Hi everyone! It's been quite some time since I've made a blog entry but I'm back. Life has been really busy as a senior in high school. I've been playing water polo and the schedule has been nuts! A'Capella has been crazy too with a concert coming up and I just started the swim team so my schedule will be even crazier! I love everything I do though so it's all fun. I'm changing my blog a bit because I feel that it's super boring and I want change it up a bit to keep things interesting. I'm not exactly sure what I want to change it too other than things about college. It's my senior year and I have to make decisions about next year and I plan to go to college to become a nurse. College is super stressful and I haven't even gone yet. I was originally going to go to Wilmington College but when I went for the visit I didn't like it at all. I really thought that it was my college and went for the visit and didn't like it at all. It was very disappointing to realize that I didn't like it at all. I learned a very important lesson, don't fall in love with a college without seeing it first you could be very disappointed. So now I have no idea where I want to go but I have a little bit of time to decide on another college but it's so stressful!! Senior year is flying by and I can't believe it's almost Thanksgiving an I've already had my senior night for water polo. I'm excited to see what the rest if the year holds and I'm excited for the new blog idea... Thanks for reading!

Where the Heart is
Where the Heart is starts with Novalee and Willy Jack, her boyfriend at the time , traveling to California. At the time, Novalee is "seventeen, seven months pregnant, thirty-seven pounds overweight, and superstitious about sevens."
Novalee convinces Willy Jack to stop at a Wal-Mart in Sequoyah, Oklahoma, so she can use the restroom and buy a pair of sandals because hers fell through the hole in the bottom of their car. When Novalee gets her change $7.77 she realizes that Willy Jack has left her.
With nowhere else to go, Novalee spends the afternoon at the Wal-Mart and meets Sister Husband who hands out chapters of the Bible to people she meets. When they first meet, Sister Husband mistakes Novalee for a girl named Ruth Ann Mott and gives Novalee a nice basket. She also meets Moses Whitecotton, a photographer who shoots portraits at the Wal-Mart. He later becomes Novalee's mentor as she becomes more invested in photography. She also meets a young man who gives her a buckeye tree as good luck. As Novalee lives in Walmart, she watches as the buckeye tree becomes sick. She takes a walk to the library where she meets Forney Hull who helps her find books about the buckeye. He appears "crazy" and shouts facts he has read from books at Novalee. Novalee Nation is forced to have her baby in the Wal-Mart, but Forney, the local librarian's brother, breaks a window and helps her out. She gives birth to the Wal-Mart baby. Without ruining too much for you by telling too much. I highly recommend this book. It's a good read and it's a cute book.
Playing with the boys
Playing With the Boys by Liz Tigelaar is a fantastic book. It brings up an issue of gender equality in football, it being a guys sport and no girls allowed. Lucy is the new girl in school and coming for Ohio to California it's difficult for her to make any friends. When she learned of the soccer tryouts she decided to tryout. Only having one friend, she was desperate for some friends and wanted any that would come her way. She doesn't end up making the team but the coach tells her to try out for the football team as their new kicker. This new experience gives her a new sense of security that she hasn't had in some time after her mother died. No one on the team, the coaches, teammates, and even her dad wants her on the team even after seeing that she's good. After some time everyone accepts her and she becomes apart of the team. The rest is for you to find out for yourself, this book is a fantastic easy read.

The Fault In Our Stars
This summer for my summer reading assignment for school we were given freedom on what book we wanted to read. I went to book stores and talked to friends but ultimately I couldn't decide what I wanted to read. After much time thinking I saw the book The Fault In our Stars sitting on the shelf begging for me to read it. The front tof the book was colorful and looked nice and I 'kinda' read the back so I went into the book without knowing much. This book turned out to be the best book I've read so far. It's a teenage love story. What girl wouldn't love a teenage love story? John Green, the author, makes you fall in love with the main characters and you feel as if you're their friends. Green writes the book so beautifully and the writing is easy to read through. I actually finished the boo in one day because you dont want to put it down. Typical books that make people cry, I typically dont cry because thats just how I am but with The Fault in Our Stars I became an absolute puddle because it's a very emotionally involved book(I probably wouldn't read this book in public haha). Without giving too much away here's a quick summary. After being diagnosed with cancer Hazel's parents decided to send her to a support group where she meets Augustus. Augustus and her quickly become friends and go to Ambersterdam where they fall in love. In Amsterdam Hazel receives devastating news before they return, so when they get back to America it's a sad time for Hazel and Augustus but they make it work by reading books together, play video games, and talking with their friend Issac. To figure out the rest you have to read the book! If you do read it, let me know your thoughts and feelings. Thanks for reading my blog

Hello everyone!
Hey there everyone! My
name is JiA'nna, I am a 17 year old teenager from Princeton High School in Cincinnati,
Ohio. This year I am a senior and plan to go to college the following year to
become a nurse. I'm interested in becoming a nurse, but also want to be a book
store owner so the first part of my life I'm pursuing my passion in nursing
than retire from nursing and open my own bookstore and live the rest of my life
in my bookstore. I'm involved in many activities at my school, I'm on my
school's water polo team, I'm involved in a lot of volunteer work and I'm in my
school's A'Cappella choir.
Only being 17 there are
many different crazy things going on in my life, applying for colleges, friends
and finishing my senior year, but something that I've always been very passionate
about is reading. Reading has always been important to me and will always be
important to me. My momma is an absolute reading fanatic so books and reading have
been in my life since I was younger; but it all truly happened for me when our TV
was broken and wouldn’t get fixed for a while. It was a really rainy day and I was
having terrible cabin fever being stuck in the house all day. The only things
in the house were books and toys, I picked one up to be able to sit next to my
momma in her reading chair and finished it that day and ever since I’ve been hooked
and reading like crazy.
Like I’ve said previously
I love to read, look at other people’s reviews and will try to write my own reviews
on books. This is my main motivation for creating this blog so I can learn more
about the book world; new authors and new books. I'm very excited to write this
blog and I hope you enjoy it. Any feedback is wonderful, and I hope you enjoy
my blog.

iBooks
In the book world having a smartphone is awesome. Two apps that im in live withe are iBooks, an Good Reads. I am absolutely in love with iBooks, it's an easy way to take a book along with you whenever you're going somewhere. Bored? Pull out your IPhone and read a book. It's highly convenient to be able to always have a book on you. Even though it doesn't give you the great feeling of holding a book in your hands and hearing the spine crack to life it's still a way to have it with you. Its really convienent to have on a road-trip. This weekend I am staying in Columbus, Ohio and couldn't bring a lot of things so I went and downloaded some books on my phone so that I could have a book with me. The other app I love is Good Reads. Good Reads is a really awesome app, it has good suggestions for a next book and you can join groups of other book-lovers. I hope everyone has a good weekend!
